Congratulations on taking the next step to mastering your instrument and truly becoming an artist. Playing music has benefits for every aspect of life: creativity, technique, focus, and fun are encouraged as we learn how to become better musicians.

I am currently accepting students in the Portland area, offering private lessons for all ages and abilities in viola, violin, music theory, basic music skills on keyboard, eurhythmics and I even teach ukulele. Please email me to set up a lesson, I offer a complimentary half hour lesson to all new students.

My expectation of the student is that they are enthusiastic about their lessons and willing to put in the demanding work that is necessary to fine tune their artistry. This happens on all levels: students will be assigned pieces and goals according to their individual abilities. Depending on the age of the student, parents will also have a role in the success of their child’s music education. Performing opportunities will be available since it is my philosophy that music is a gift that should be shared.

Rates and Location

$25/half hour, $40/hour

All lessons take place in my home in NE Portland located on 7th Avenue near Fremont Street.
